Top SchoolNathan Southern is an application developer with two decades of experience specialising in scheduling and automating data pipelines for investment operations across APAC, EMEA and the US. Currently Technical Lead at First Sentier Investors, he architects and delivers resilient ETL, reconciliation and reporting solutions using Informatica, Tidal, Azure and Snowflake to support high-value funds and complex vendor ecosystems. His background includes leading large migrations, building automated exception frameworks and replatforming critical start-of-day processes that move tens of billions in assets. Comfortable in both hands-on development and operational support, he has a track record of unpicking 20-year legacy ETL landscapes and reconfiguring them for global DevOps. Based on the Gold Coast, he combines financial domain expertise (postgraduate finance certification) with deep practical skills in secure file movement, scheduling and data reconciliation. Colleagues rely on him for pragmatic, auditable solutions that bridge investment teams, custodians and third-party vendors.
