Navya Dahiya
Data Scientist
Summary
👤
SeniorNavya Dahiya is a software engineer with eight years of hands-on experience and a BTech from IIT(BHU) Varanasi, currently building software at Microsoft after a summer SWE internship that earned a PPO. She brings full-stack fluency—C++, Python, React, Node/Express, MongoDB and MySQL—paired with practical UI/UX instincts honed through multiple design and frontend roles. At Microsoft she delivered an ~80% performance improvement on a Custom Compositor by optimizing layout algorithms and exposed an 11x API bottleneck during investigations, demonstrating a strong eye for systems-level efficiency. Navya balances product-minded frontend work (rebuilding institute and company UIs, theming and style guides) with backend API and authentication projects, and has led event tech and design teams for IIT initiatives. She is motivated by intellectually challenging SDE roles where she can blend algorithmic thinking with user-centered design, and her background reflects a rare combination of rigorous optimization skills and polished communication/management abilities. An interesting detail: beyond code, she’s organized high-impact lecture series managing 150+ attendees and remote speakers, showing cross-functional leadership early in her career.
