Software Engineer at WhatsApp
London, England, United Kingdom
Summary
👤
SeniorNazarii Ivanchuk is a Staff Software Engineer with 12 years of professional experience focused on mobile application architecture and delivery, currently advancing platform efforts at Meta. He brings deep expertise in Android and iOS ecosystems (Java, Objective-C, Swift), solid engineering fundamentals (OOP, SOLID, UML) and a track record of leading teams through CI/CD, code review and refactoring practices. Nazarii progressed from hands-on Android developer roles to technical lead and senior engineering positions at Trainline and Meta, demonstrating consistent ownership of scalable mobile solutions. He stays current with mobile trends, contributes to open source on GitHub, and combines product-oriented thinking with disciplined estimations and process (Scrum/Kanban). Based in Stony Stratford, UK, he pairs a Master’s in Software Engineering with practical experience across distributed teams and varied VCS workflows (SVN, Perforce, Git). A less obvious strength is his continuity of growth inside the same product domain—moving from developer to staff engineer while preserving a practitioner’s attention to implementation detail.
