Top SchoolNeehar Peri is a postdoctoral researcher at Caltech with eight years of research experience bridging robotics, computer vision, and multi-modal learning, following a PhD from CMU's Robotics Institute. His work spans vision-language action models, video diffusion for interactive simulators, 3D object detection, multi-object tracking, and policy learning with depth/force/tactile modalities—often translating research into faster, production-ready systems (e.g., a GNN tracker achieving 10x speedup and +5% HOTA). He has interned at leading labs including NVIDIA, Argo AI, and RAI Institute, and has hands-on experience benchmarking SLAM/SfM and building robust multi-spectral face verification pipelines. Based in the NYC area, Neehar combines rigorous theoretical grounding with measurable system improvements and a track record of inventing novel evaluation metrics and representations that close the gap between embodied perception research and deployed robotics.
