Top SchoolNeerja Narayanappa is a cloud infrastructure leader with 11 years of experience, currently leading Cloud Infrastructure and Governance at American Airlines where she shapes enterprise Azure policy, governance, and security standards. She combines deep hands-on engineering—Python, Go, Terraform, ARM, Kubernetes—with a strong focus on CIS benchmarks and risk-driven cloud standardization to eliminate redundancies and optimize cost and operability. Her background includes significant OpenStack contributions and automating production deployments, reflecting both open-source pedigree and applied platform engineering. Neerja mentors teams, drives cross-functional collaboration, and codifies best practices for service management, monitoring, and change control. She holds an MS in Computer Science from UT Arlington and has a practical blend of virtualization, NFV, and DevOps experience dating back to early OpenStack work. Less obvious: she pairs security-first governance with developer-friendly automation, ensuring controls are enforced without slowing delivery.
