Top SchoolNelson Figueroa is a cloud-focused software engineer with 8 years of hands-on experience building and operating AWS-native infrastructure, Kubernetes clusters, and developer tooling across fintech and consumer platforms. He has managed cluster-wide security and authentication at scale—deploying Okta OIDC across hundreds of clusters at Robinhood without downtime—and driven six-figure AWS cost reductions and service migrations at Edmunds. Comfortable in both dev and ops roles, he authors Terraform, Jsonnet, Bash, and Go-based tests to automate deployments and harden RBAC for cross-team collaboration. A self-starter who learned Terraform, Kubernetes, and GCP independently, Nelson also brings Rails backend experience from high-traffic production services and a proven on-call track record. Based in Los Angeles, he blends pragmatic cloud engineering with security-minded automation to help teams ship reliably.
