Summary

Senior🎓
Top SchoolNelson Kopliku is a Principal Software Engineer based in Italy with 11 years of experience designing and delivering distributed, event-driven systems through a strong DevOps and Agile mindset. At SUSE he leads squads, drives cross-product integrations (notably between Trento and SUSE Manager), and contributed key observability and activity-logging capabilities that support business intelligence. He pairs hands-on engineering in Elixir, Rust, Go and JS/TS with Domain-Driven Design practices, coaching teams through EventStorming and bounded-context discovery to turn complex domains into reliable systems. Nelson balances delivery with continuous learning—recently enrolling in a Computer Science degree while still contributing at senior technical and leadership levels. Known for pragmatic decision-making, he prioritizes customer value and refuses to ship work that doesn’t meet quality or business needs. He brings a rare combination of technical depth, coaching aptitude, and product-focused systems thinking.
