Top SchoolNessa Nguyen is a Senior Software Engineer based in New York with 12 years of experience building reliable, service-oriented systems across startups and scale-ups. She specializes in backend systems (Node.js/Typescript, Python/Flask, Ruby/Rails) and data-backed features using Postgres, ElasticSearch, Redshift and Snowflake, while also shipping polished React frontends. At Thirty Madison she owns critical fulfillment microservices, integrating vendor pharmacy software and troubleshooting production issues that directly impact revenue and customer experience. Previously she led rebuilds and migrations—angular to React and legacy refactors—improving performance and developer productivity at Better.com and Narrativ. Known for pragmatic technical leadership, she raises code quality through linters, docs, and regular maintenance rituals like “Patch Tuesday.” Outside of core engineering, she blends product empathy with ops experience, working closely with pharmacists, customer experience teams, and vendors to close the loop on complex workflows.
