Senior🎓
Top SchoolNetanel Belgazal is a Staff Software Engineer based in Cupertino with nine years building real-time embedded software and Linux kernel networking for complex Ethernet silicon. He leads firmware and driver development across the full chip lifecycle—from pre-silicon virtual platform firmware for hardware accelerators to post-silicon bootloaders, HALs and middleware—while shaping software and firmware architecture with hardware teams. An active maintainer of the ENA Linux driver at AWS, he has improved network performance and stability through low-level fixes like Rx out-of-order completion and interrupt handling. He is proficient in C, C++, and Python and brings deep TCP/IP, ARM optimization and bare-metal driver experience to cross-platform networking stacks. Known as a strong collaborator and knowledge-sharer, he bridges product, hardware architects and firmware teams to deliver customer-facing features. A less obvious strength is his proven ability to prototype firmware on virtual platforms (Synopsys VDK, Cadence Palladium) ahead of tape-out, accelerating silicon bring-up.

Contributions summary:Netanel primarily contributed to the ENA (Elastic Network Adapter) driver for Linux. Their work involved fixing compilation errors, optimizing the driver's code, and updating the driver to new versions. They addressed issues related to network performance and stability by implementing features like Rx out-of-order completion, correcting statistics reporting, and improving handling of interrupts. These contributions demonstrate a focus on maintaining and enhancing the driver's functionality within the Linux kernel environment.
