Top SchoolNghi Bui is a Lead Research Scientist with a Ph.D. in Computer Science and over a decade of experience at the intersection of AI and software engineering, specializing in AI for Code, program synthesis, semantic parsing, and intelligent software testing. Currently leading an R&D team at Huawei Ireland, he has a track record of turning deep-code learning research into product-relevant solutions and has held research and engineering roles across industry and academia in Europe and Asia. His background spans applied software engineering—building high-throughput systems at Chợ Tốt and contributing to Atlassian’s JIRA Service Desk—to research positions at Singapore Management University and visiting scholar roles in the UK. Nghi’s work blends rigorous academic training with practical deployment experience, often focusing on bridging program analysis and modern deep learning approaches. He publishes and experiments publicly (personal site and GitHub) and brings a mentorship-oriented leadership style that grows early-career Ph.D. talent into production-minded researchers. Based in Ho Chi Minh City, he combines global research collaborations with hands-on engineering pragmatism.
