Top SchoolNguyen Hai is a lead engineer based in Hanoi with eight years of hands-on experience building data-driven systems and machine learning pipelines. He progressed through roles at WorldQuant from data operations to lead engineer, bringing deep expertise in Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, and scalable ETL architectures. His early work at Viettel Software involved R&D for social network analysis and churn prediction on datasets of tens of millions of users, combining Scala, Spark GraphX/MLlib and pragmatic system sizing. Comfortable across languages and domains—from Python backend services for multiplayer games to Java and Oracle-based ETL—he blends production-grade engineering with research-minded problem solving. Colleagues know him as someone who seeks out technical challenges and mentors others in performance tuning and data engineering best practices.
