Senior🎓
Top SchoolNicholas Chum is a Principal Technical Engineer and Android specialist with 11+ years building AOSP frameworks, infotainment systems, and UX-centric mobile apps for carriers like General Motors (SiriusXM integration, Front/Rear Seat Infotainment) while leading Produkt Development LLC. He blends deep low-level Android expertise—IPC, runtime resource overlays, hidden AOSP integrations and anti-piracy mechanisms—with product ownership experience shipping large-scale in-vehicle streaming features and media frameworks. A fluent collaborator across global teams, he maintains a strong open-source presence (notably contributing security and integrity enhancements to the widely used Substratum theming engine with millions of users). Nicholas pairs hands-on engineering (Java/Kotlin, on-device APK tooling, CI/Gerrit workflows) with UX design sensibilities, enabling pragmatic solutions that bridge platform internals and consumer-facing experiences. Based in Markham, Ontario, he brings both startup founder grit and enterprise-grade discipline to complex automotive and mobile engineering challenges.
