Top SchoolNicholas Eliopoulos is a PhD student and research assistant at Purdue University specializing in making transformer-based vision models efficient enough for low-power and edge deployment. With a decade of experience in computer engineering and hands-on work mentoring undergraduates, he focuses on pruning irrelevant image regions to speed inference on resource-constrained devices. His research blends practical engineering with applied ML, demonstrated by a PhD internship at Argonne National Laboratory. Based in Munster, Indiana, he combines academic rigor with an eye for deployable solutions that bridge cutting-edge models and real-world hardware limits.
