Top SchoolNicholas Gregory is a London-based software engineer with eight years of experience building low-latency risk control systems for electronic trading and scalable full-stack web applications as a freelancer. As a Technology Degree Apprentice at Morgan Stanley while studying at Queen Mary University, he has delivered high-impact projects across DevOps, low-latency Java/Scala risk middleware, kdb+/q analytics, and firmwide high-availability software distribution. He blends hands-on expertise in Python, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure/GCP, Next.js and serverless architectures with cyber security credentials—including GIAC Certified Incident Handler and membership on the GIAC Advisory Board. Comfortable working directly with front-line risk managers, Nicholas focuses on observable, resilient systems that reduce operational risk in algorithmic trading. Outside the firm he continues to ship bespoke Next.js projects and sharpens his offensive-defensive skills through CTFs, bringing a pragmatic security mindset to production engineering.
