Summary
👤
SeniorNicholas Prieto is a Software Developer with eight years of experience building practical, documentation-driven solutions across enterprise and academic settings. Currently at McLeod Software after roles at FIS and FIU, he brings hands-on expertise in backend data work, SQL-based reporting, and front-end tasks like Vue.js and WordPress. He’s comfortable translating research code to production (MATLAB to Python) and has improved performance in data workflows, reflecting a strong analytical grounding from his software engineering degree. Nicholas pairs a pragmatic belief that “nothing cannot be learned” with a habit of clear documentation and version-control best practices learned in both internship and professional environments. Based in Pensacola, he’s also known for creative problem-solving—evident from a hackathon win using AR—and a caffeine-fueled curiosity that drives continuous improvement.
