Top SchoolNick Bumbarger is a Web Application Engineer with 11 years of experience blending deep GIS and remote sensing expertise with modern web development, specializing in TypeScript, React/Redux, and extending the ArcGIS JavaScript API. He has led full‑stack projects that turn complex geospatial data into intuitive decision‑support tools for enterprise clients, including an enterprise system that influenced major infrastructure siting decisions. Nick’s background in global land‑cover classification and processing of every Landsat image ever captured gives him rare domain knowledge that informs performant geoprocessing and visualization pipelines. Comfortable leading teams or contributing as a hands‑on developer, he pairs client collaboration and product design with automation, AWS integrations, and bespoke geospatial tooling. He’s known for pushing visualization boundaries—binding map frames to DOM and external libs—to create more expressive, interactive mapping experiences.
