Top SchoolNick Carmont is a software engineer and applied AI leader with eight years’ experience building and scaling AI and fintech products across startups and enterprise. As CTO and co-founder of Connect Earth he helped raise $7M, deployed carbon-estimation infrastructure processing over 1 billion transactions, and integrated with major banks and platforms like SAP and KBC. At Mistral AI he was an early GTM and deployment lead who opened the UK and Spain, grew teams from 70 to 700+, and led a 25-person Europe deployment organization delivering flagship enterprise deals. He began his career engineering on Amazon’s consumer site and brings hands-on product shipping experience combined with strategic go-to-market and deployment playbooks. Trained in AI and software engineering at the University of Edinburgh with international study at UC San Diego, he combines academic rigor with operator instincts. Notably, he repeatedly bridges research-grade ML and production systems—turning models into million-user agents and bank-grade transaction processing.
