Top SchoolNick Delfino is a Technical Lead and full-stack software engineer with 11 years of experience building and scaling Java, JavaScript, C#, and SQL-based systems from Boston. At HubSpot he leads a small engineering team, designed a cross-organizational permissioning system with a new Java API, and maintains microservices handling tens of millions of requests per hour while improving performance and reliability. His background spans backend-heavy roles—building REST APIs, ML prediction pipelines, and data aggregation systems—and hands-on operational incident response. He pairs pragmatic engineering (caching, query optimization) with mentorship and product collaboration, and has a track record of translating machine learning experiments into production-aware solutions. Notably, he has explained complex ML work to non-engineering audiences through lunch-and-learns and documentation, reflecting both technical depth and clear communication.
