Senior🎓
Top SchoolNick Floersch is a pragmatic technology leader and full-stack GIS solutions developer with nearly three decades of hands-on experience and nine years in formal engineering roles, now serving as Lead Technology Solutions Strategist at Stone Environmental in Montpelier, Vermont. He blends deep expertise in GIS, computer graphics, and operating systems with modern web and mobile stacks (React Native, Node, C#) and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) to deliver end-to-end spatial applications. Nick has led and grown software and GIS teams, managed complex system integrations, and still writes low-level networking, OpenGL and automation scripts when projects demand it. He’s equally comfortable translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and crafting proposal- and requirements-driven solutions. A long-time resident technologist at a single organization, he brings institutional knowledge and a reputation for inventive “wacky” ideas that solve practical problems. Outside of project work he guest-lectures locally and focuses on building tools that help mission-driven clients make a measurable difference.
