Senior🎓
Top SchoolNick Gu is an AI-focused software engineer and community builder with 11 years of experience designing applied AI infrastructure and developer tooling at Google, now leading AI Agent infrastructure as a Technical Lead. He pairs deep academic training—MS in Computer Science from Columbia and doctoral work in neuroscience—with hands-on systems engineering across mobile games, high-frequency data infra, and graph algorithms. Nick is active in organizational leadership, running global and NYC Googler networks, chairing Columbia alumni initiatives, and steering a nonprofit to democratize AI knowledge. Known for teaching and onboarding engineers to AI tools, he blends practical production experience with a researcher’s curiosity and a knack for turning complex AI systems into accessible capabilities. An oft-overlooked advantage is his cross-disciplinary fluency (neuroscience to production systems), which helps him design AI that amplifies human performance rather than just automates tasks.
