Top SchoolNick Kelly is a Senior Software Engineer in San Francisco with 11 years of experience building data-driven, cloud-native systems and integrations. As a founding engineer at Activated Insights he led a lake house initiative and built a scalable ETL framework on AWS Glue, and has repeatedly replaced legacy tooling with Python/Django platforms that cut onboarding and deployment times dramatically. Previously at Carta he delivered a Python gRPC payments service that reduced failures and sped up transactions for a majority of customers, demonstrating a focus on reliability and measurable business impact. He combines hands-on backend engineering, API integrations, and CI/CD expertise across AWS and GCP with practical systems experience from embedded controls to SaaS products. Known for turning coffee into code, he pairs pragmatic architecture choices with fast delivery and an eye for automating repetitive work.
