Top SchoolNick Polyak is a veteran software architect and multi-platform UI specialist with a Ph.D. from RPI and over a decade of professional experience building cross-platform desktop, web, and mobile applications. He is an Avalonia and XAML expert (multiple Avalonia MVP awards) who has helped financial, defense, and trading firms migrate and modernize UIs across Windows, macOS, Linux, WebAssembly, iOS, Android and even Tizen. Nick combines deep systems-level skills in C#, .NET Core, Python, Rust, Java/C++ and database languages with pragmatic patterns like Prototype Driven Development and a custom NP.Ava.UniDock docking framework he’s adapted for real projects. He’s repeatedly delivered high-impact controls and features—Excel-like spreadsheet views, Gantt charts, grouping/filtering DataGrid enhancements and hot-button trading components—while mentoring teams and promoting best practices. Based in Miami, he pairs academic rigor with hands-on engineering, often prototyping cross-process GRPC/Protobuf integrations and performance-focused Rust bindings for Python to solve demanding production problems.
