Senior🎓
Top SchoolNick Risinger is a Director of Cloud Architecture with over a decade of experience building cloud-native platforms and the teams that deliver them, currently leading development of an internal developer platform at Travelport. He has driven Kubernetes adoption and run large-scale ML and traffic-filtering systems—handling up to a trillion requests per day across multiple regions—with a strong operational focus on observability (Prometheus, Thanos) and GitOps tooling (ArgoCD, Terraform). Nick combines hands-on engineering (from REST APIs and ETL pipelines to EKS-based ML platforms) with proven leadership of small, cross-functional teams to productionize complex distributed systems. He has a practical bent for developer experience and workflow improvements, evidenced by platform work and prior migrations to modern CI/CD and repository practices. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, he pairs a computer engineering background from the University of Pittsburgh with entrepreneurial experience as a co-founder, and still describes himself—accurately—as “definitely a living, human programmer.”
