Top SchoolNick Rygiel is a multidisciplinary technology and finance leader who serves as Managing Partner, CTO, and CISO of Protocol Wealth, bringing eight years of professional experience and a career foundation as a U.S. Naval Academy-trained systems engineer. He applies systems engineering to secure, crypto-native wealth management—designing MPC wallet infrastructure, DeFi yield strategies, and institutional security architecture while keeping client custody models non-custodial. Nick’s background spans naval shipboard combat and propulsion systems, DoD human-systems integration and PKI/identity interoperability at Deloitte, and a decade of wealth management and portfolio leadership at Merrill Lynch. He founded Ironclad Financial (now merged into Protocol Wealth), blending operational rigor from the Navy and technical risk management to build auditable, resilient financial technology. An MBA and CFP® credential holder, he combines technical depth with client-facing advisory experience and a knack for translating complex cyber and systems problems into practical, regulated financial solutions. Notably, his work links human-machine interface insights from naval autonomy research to secure identity and AI-augmented advisory practices in digital assets.
