Senior🎓
Top SchoolNick Stakanov is a Senior System Architect based in Amsterdam with over 14 years of hands-on experience designing and stabilizing complex distributed systems for enterprises like Liberty Global, VodafoneZiggo, Tipico and EPAM. He specializes in DevOps transformation, cloud engineering, high-availability architecture and automated deployment at scale, consistently focusing on cost, stability and standardization. Having progressed from system engineer and developer to head of DevOps and architecture roles, he combines deep low-level automation skills (Chef, Bash, Ruby, OpenStack) with large-team governance and resource management experience. Nick is particularly adept at end-to-end implementation governance for migrations and orchestration across multi-cloud and datacenter environments, and brings a pragmatic track record of improving performance and operational reliability in production systems. Unusually for an architect, he retains strong scripting and provisioning craftsmanship and has repeatedly shipped custom drivers and orchestration layers to bridge gaps between tools and processes.
