Top SchoolNick Taranov is a pragmatic Staff Software Engineer and fractional CTO with two decades of hands-on development and a decade of senior leadership experience, currently shaping core systems and AI adoption at ServiceTitan. He blends deep full-stack proficiency—particularly in React, Azure/Cosmos DB, .NET and cloud-native tooling—with a knack for organizing cost-efficient teams and processes that replace multiple high-cost roles. A seasoned trainer and Microsoft/GCP/GitHub accredited instructor, he routinely translates complex technical concepts into practical upskilling for companies and engineers worldwide. Nick’s background includes crisis tech leadership, successful migrations, and developer productivity work, and he often serves as a force-multiplier who values business impact first when making architectural decisions. Less obvious: his academic PhD in applied mathematics underpins a methodical, analytical approach to engineering problems, enabling rapid adoption of new languages and frameworks when needed.
