Senior🎓
Top SchoolNick Tasios is a Senior Software Scientist with 14 years of experience combining a PhD in physics with deep software and data engineering skills to deliver production-grade AI and scientific algorithms. Currently at Thermo Fisher he implements and improves EELS/EDS algorithms for materials science while previously leading cutting-edge computer vision and medical imaging projects at Philips. He has strong low-level expertise (C/C++, CUDA, MPI) from his PhD and quant work, yet also ships ML-driven solutions—differentiable rendering, NeRF-like architectures, and one-shot 2D→3D conversion—in production. An entrepreneur who runs a children’s activity product while handling its technical stack, he’s equally comfortable prototyping research code and hardening it for industry use. Known as a fast learner and pragmatic problem solver, he brings a rare blend of academic rigor and hands-on engineering to cross-disciplinary teams.
