Nicolas Castellanos
Software Engineer
Montevideo, Montevideo, Uruguay
Summary
👤
SeniorNicolas Castellanos is a software engineer with 11 years of experience now completing Google’s two-year NetOps Residency and working on software that supports global hyper-scale network infrastructure. He combines embedded systems and reverse-engineering expertise with backend microservice development for intent-driven network management, bringing practical low-level firmware experience from roles in automotive and security research. Based in San Francisco, he’s comfortable across hardware and cloud domains—rearchitecting real-time motor drivers and building monitoring services that run at scale. Quietly driven by exploration, he pairs a hands-on curiosity (fault injection on NOR flash and bootloader analysis) with a long-term ambition to “meet outer space,” reflecting both technical depth and adventurousness.
