Nicolas Genest is a multi-exit technology executive and founder with over a decade of leadership delivering platform modernizations, AI-first systems, and marketplace commerce at scale. As CEO and founder of CodeBoxx and CTO in residence at spARK Labs, he combines hands-on technical execution (from APIs and data systems to RAG, vector DBs and MLOps) with enterprise transformation playbooks used at The RealReal, ModCloth, Veepee and GoodwillFinds. He’s known for building high-performance teams, turning technical strategy into repeatable delivery, and shipping R&D-backed product platforms that drove hypergrowth (The RealReal’s platform scaled revenue from single- to triple-digit millions). Nicolas also runs a training-first venture that guarantees employment for graduates, blending talent development with client-facing digital transformation work. Equally comfortable in mission-driven resale marketplaces and billion-dollar commerce environments, he brings a business-first lens to AI and platform engineering while still claiming the curiosities of a web developer and “Internet hobo” at heart.
