Nicolas Korobochkin
Software Engineer at TinyMCE
Georgia
Summary
👤
SeniorNicolas Korobochkin is a software engineer with 11 years of experience building scalable web and WordPress-focused systems, currently contributing to TinyMCE and formerly shaping the Setka WYSIWYG editor. He has deep expertise in PHP, TypeScript/NestJS, and microservices, having optimized large WooCommerce billing flows, sped financial reports from hours to minutes, and led seamless subscription migrations to Maxio. Nicolas blends frontend performance work (LCP, INP, CLS) with backend reliability—profiling PHP/MySQL, refactoring Dockerfiles and CI/CD, and integrating AWS SQS and Postgres at scale. A long-time WordPress contributor, speaker, and translator, he’s comfortable shipping production-grade plugins that met WordPress VIP standards and automated AMP conversions. Based in Georgia, he pairs product-focused engineering with hands-on performance tuning that often unblocks business teams.
