Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolNicolas Menettrier is a Senior Software Engineer with 10 years of hands-on experience building and modernizing full‑stack JavaScript/TypeScript applications, currently based in Yokohama and actively seeking roles in Japan. He has driven large-scale monorepo improvements and CI/CD optimizations at Rakuten, led a migration from Cypress to Playwright, and architected micro‑frontend portals that improved developer velocity and user experience. Previously he rebuilt core internal tooling and cut heavy computations from minutes to seconds at a trading firm, and developed a production mobile/dev tooling platform during an R&D stint at vente‑privée. Comfortable across React, Node/Nest, Next.js and DevOps tools like Docker and GitHub Actions, he combines pragmatic engineering with mentorship and strong system-level thinking. A useful but less obvious strength is his track record of turning legacy systems into well-documented, composable design systems and automated pipelines that scale across teams.
