Top SchoolNicolas Pelletier is a Senior Software Engineer based in Chiyoda, Japan, with over two decades of experience building robust, maintainable systems across finance, market data, embedded networking, and automotive validation. He blends deep practical skills in C++, Python, and systems engineering with a strong interest in programming language theory and formal verification tools (Agda, Coq), applying concepts from functional and logical paradigms to improve software correctness and design. His recent work spans HIL/SIL validation for vehicle software at Woven by Toyota and high-throughput market data and settlement systems at Fidessa and FIS, where he led performance optimizations and automated testing environments. Comfortable working remotely across time zones, he has a track record of mentoring peers, modernizing legacy feed handlers, and introducing novel testing techniques in embedded contexts. Outside of work he brings discipline from a long-term Aikido practice (4th-degree black belt) and a lifelong background in classical piano, habits that inform his thoughtful, meticulous engineering approach.
