Summary
👤
SeniorNicolas Spadavecchia is an AWS Solution Architect and seasoned software leader with 10+ years building cloud-native, cost-efficient systems and leading teams from monoliths to microservices. He’s driven measurable impact—most notably reducing a 40 TB database to 1.5 TB and cutting over $12k/month in infrastructure costs—while architecting multi-account AWS environments, Hub-and-Spoke networking, and secure industrial edge integrations. Comfortable across PHP, Laravel, Docker, Fargate and IaC (AWS CDK), he blends hands-on engineering with SRE and FinOps discipline to deliver scalable, observable platforms. Nicolas also excels at team transformation, having split generalist pools into specialized Cloud and Data units and raised DORA metrics through CI/CD, TDD/BDD and incident process design. Based in Mendoza, Argentina, he pairs pragmatic delivery with mentorship, often coaching QA and developers through automation, pair programming and BDD adoption.
