Top SchoolNicolas Torres is a Senior Web Engineer with 11 years of hands-on experience building performant, practical web tools across agencies, startups and his own ventures. He cofounded PlaceKit (a global geocoding API) and currently drives web and design-system work at Photoroom, where he engineered a caching/sanitizing middleman API to cut costs and boost site performance. Comfortable across the full stack, he blends TypeScript/Node.js backends with React-based component systems and a strong DevOps sensibility (Docker, SQLite, Drizzle, Hono). He started coding at 13 and brings an unusual mix of product-minded design, 3D creative work, and deep implementation experience to solve real-world content and performance problems. Remote-first and entrepreneurial, he often focuses on tooling, automation and design systems that help teams move faster.
