Top SchoolNicole Sorial is a Senior Cloud Software Engineer with nine years of practical experience building and operating cloud-native systems, currently advancing SimpliSafe’s cloud platform after progressing through multiple engineering and DevOps roles there. With a dual background in Computer Science and Mathematics from Northeastern and hands-on co-op experience at Salsify and Liberty Mutual, she combines strong systems thinking with scalable data and event-driven engineering (Kafka, Elasticsearch). Known for clear communication and organization, Nicole frequently bridges cross-team efforts—reducing event volume, improving deploy reliability, and automating alerting across AWS environments. She brings a growth mindset and creative problem-solving honed both in engineering and during a documentary photography study abroad in Berlin, a detail that underscores her design sensibility and observational rigor.
