Top SchoolNiels Abspoel is a Senior Consultant and Trainer with 13 years of hands-on experience designing and automating Cloud Native infrastructures, specializing in Kubernetes, Docker/Podman, DevOps toolchains and cloud security. He helps organizations adopt microservices and DevSecOps practices—implementing GitLab CI/CD and GitHub Actions—and regularly teaches Kubernetes Fundamentals to bridge theory and practice. His background as a Linux automation specialist is reflected in sustained open-source contributions to SaltStack, PuppetDB and bootstrap tooling, where he improved cross-distro compatibility for SUSE and Debian families. Comfortable working across the stack from systemd/service files to CI pipelines, he combines pragmatic engineering with mentoring to make complex infrastructure repeatable and secure. Based in North Brabant, Netherlands, he brings a rare blend of production-level operations experience and formal training delivery, often surfacing edge-case compatibility fixes that prevent deployments from breaking in diverse environments.
