Top SchoolNiels Buus is a veteran leader in the Defense and Space sector with over 35 years of experience scaling technology businesses, turning startups into market leaders, and driving IPO-level growth. As founder and CEO of Longbus Innovation and former CEO and Chairman of GomSpace, he led GomSpace’s expansion by more than 20x and its 2016 public listing, and has repeatedly grown teams from small to enterprise scale. He combines deep technical training in optics and mechanical engineering with strategic management education (London Business School Sloan Fellowship) and formal defense studies, enabling him to bridge engineering, policy and commercial agendas. Today he chairs and advises multiple space propulsion and satellite ventures while also working on defense and public policy projects, reflecting a rare mix of boardroom governance and hands-on industry scaling. An award-winning leader in Denmark, he often steps into turnaround and high-growth roles and brings practical experience from frontline interim management in complex, international environments.
