Senior🎓
Top SchoolNiels Robin-aubertin is a software engineer with 11 years of experience, currently at Canonical, who blends a deep affinity for Linux and decentralization with hands-on DevOps expertise. He migrated from full‑stack development to infrastructure-focused roles, designing CI/CD, containerized build environments, and private registries while reducing costs and test times through automation and parallelization. His background spans cloud (GCP, AWS), on-prem deployments, and tooling—having deployed GitLab, ELK, Artifactory, and bespoke license management systems across mixed Windows/Linux environments. Notable wins include a 95% test-suite speedup, a 50% production hosting cost reduction via Docker migration, and driving Conan adoption for C++ packaging. Based in Montreal, he’s an active open-source maintainer in his spare time and brings a minimalist, pragmatic approach to building reliable, developer-friendly infrastructure.
