Senior🎓
Top SchoolNiels Vaes is a technical animator with nine years' experience crafting character rigs, skinning, cloth and dynamics for AAA titles, currently consulting at Embark Studios in Stockholm. He has shipped work on Battlefield V, Battlefield 2042 and ARC Raiders/THE FINALS, and pairs artist-friendly rigging with Python tool development to streamline Maya-to-engine pipelines. Comfortable across high- and low-poly workflows, motion capture integration and runtime dynamics (Morpheme/Frostbite), he has a track record of optimizing delivery pipelines to handle high-volume character production. Belgium-born and now Sweden-based, he balances studio-grade technical animation with a personal passion for flight simulation, reflecting a detail-oriented mindset that extends beyond the studio.
