Senior🎓
Top SchoolNiels Vegter is a senior software developer based in Amsterdam with over three decades of programming enthusiasm and seven years of recent professional experience building web and backend systems. He combines analytical rigor and creative problem‑solving to deliver tailor‑made web applications and APIs, from SMSC tooling and large‑scale search projects to municipal participatory platforms. As co‑founder of deNes he has repeatedly translated unusual requirements into robust, production systems using Perl, Node.js, MySQL and Linux, and he has driven migrations and cloud adoption at enterprises like PVH and KPN. Niels is user‑focused and persistent—he won’t rest until both technical and functional problems are understood and resolved—and is comfortable navigating client communication and high‑pressure situations with good humor. His background in industrial design and Mediterranean archaeology gives him an uncommon multidisciplinary perspective that informs pragmatic, user-centered solutions. Currently he contributes as a senior developer at Ksyos while maintaining his bespoke development practice.
