Senior🎓
Top SchoolNigel Dias is a Lead Robotics Researcher with eight years of experience specializing in robotic vision, visual odometry, and Visual SLAM, currently driving research and development at Synkar Autonomous while pursuing a PhD at Universidade Federal de Goiás. He combines academic rigor—master’s work on multi-view geometry and video object tracking—with hands-on systems experience in ROS, C/C++, Python, sensor fusion and state estimation for real-world robotic platforms. Nigel has a track record of translating research into competition-ready robotics systems from his time at the Pequi Mecânico lab and recognition at the Latin American Robotics Competition. Comfortable moving between low-level camera geometry and applied mapping/localization pipelines, he also brings mobile and backend development experience from earlier industry roles. Pragmatic and research-driven, he actively publishes code and projects on GitHub to bridge prototypes and production.
