Nik Cubrilovic
Chief Squirrel at Open Electricity
Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
Summary
👤
SeniorNik Cubrilovic is a data and software engineer with eight years’ experience building practical engineering solutions across energy, proptech and retail. He founded Nineprimes, where he led data engineering, web crawling and ML pipeline work, and now develops Open Electricity while serving as Chief Squirrel at squirrelscan, a CLI website auditing tool that attracted over 10k users in its first week. Nik ships end-to-end systems—APIs, databases, crawlers and tooling—that turn messy public and property data into actionable products. He combines hands-on coding with lightweight product instincts, favoring small, reusable tooling that scales across domains. Based in Sydney, he avoids recruiters and focuses on pragmatic open projects that accelerate data access for real-world use cases.
