Senior🎓
Top SchoolNik Kantar is a Senior Software Engineer based in Los Angeles with 13 years of experience building and operating Python-first, cloud-native systems on AWS. He has repeatedly owned end-to-end features and platform rewrites—from Django monoliths to TypeScript/NodeJS serverless architectures—while leading squads and championing testing, observability, and developer tooling. Comfortable in both framework-less and framework-driven codebases, he pairs hands-on development (Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB, RDS, SQS, EventBridge) with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation). Former chair of the regional PyBeach conference, he contributes to the local Python community and brings a designer’s sensibility from a BA in Graphic Design to pragmatic API and UX-aware backend work. Notably, he’s delivered solo rewrites and internal engineering tools that shifted team workflows and deployment practices across multiple companies.
