Summary
👤
SeniorNikita Cherniy is a Senior Embedded Software Engineer in the Greater Hamburg Area with 20+ years of low-level systems experience and a 12-year focused career shipping performance-critical C++ and CUDA solutions across desktop, mobile, and embedded Arm/x86-64 platforms. He specializes in squeezing maximum throughput from real-time camera and lidar pipelines—authoring stereo vision, image-processing and GPGPU kernels and moving heavy work to background threads and CUDA to deliver multi-fold speedups. Comfortable across the full modern C++ spectrum (C++98 through draft C++26) and pragmatic about safety, he also integrates Rust for safety-critical components with zero-cost FFI. He’s built cross-platform visualization tools using Vulkan and Qt, championed company-wide profiling with visual performance graphs, and mentors teams on advanced C++ and GPGPU practices. Known for turning complex low-level challenges into clean, testable designs, he pairs deep optimization skill with strong documentation and customer-facing technical guidance.
