Top SchoolNikita Kalashnikov is an engine programmer and low-level performance specialist with 13 years of experience building infrastructure and backend systems for game and cloud platforms. Currently on the Northlight engine foundation tech team at Remedy, he previously shipped backend and production engineering work at Remedy, Unity, Yousician and other companies, spanning microservices, networking and internal tooling. He prefers in-office roles and focuses on pragmatic, maintainable systems—“things other people don't hate to work with too much.” His legacy open-source presence on GitHub hints at a steady history of contributions while newer work lives on Codeberg, reflecting a developer who values craft over show. Based in Espoo, Finland, he brings deep systems instincts and hands-on performance engineering to complex engine and backend problems.
