Top SchoolNikita Kovalov is a staff software engineer based in Berlin with 15 years of experience designing and delivering high‑load, distributed systems across logistics, e‑commerce, healthcare and cloud platforms. He excels at translating business requirements into RFCs/ADRs and driving architecture changes from design to measurable production outcomes, with hands‑on expertise in Go, Java/Kotlin, Node, Ruby, and event-driven systems (Kafka, gRPC, REST). His recent roles at Distribusion and HelloFresh highlight deep experience optimizing performance for large-scale microservice environments and leading cross-functional implementation. Nikita pairs cloud-native operational know‑how (AWS, GCP, Kubernetes) with a track record of cost and performance optimizations in Industrial IoT and logistics domains. A pragmatic architect who still codes, he often leads initiatives end-to-end and measures success with real production metrics rather than theory.
