Top SchoolNikki Chumakov is a senior C++ and UNIX software engineer based in Munich with over three decades of hands-on experience and 12 years in recent industry roles. He has led large-scale distributed systems and high-performance infrastructure work at companies including Yandex, Machine Zone, and NVIDIA, spanning IMAP/mail storage, messaging SDKs, and inter-service protocols. Known for rigorous coding standards and deep systems knowledge, he builds production-grade asynchronous I/O frameworks and bespoke communication layers from concept to implementation. His background also includes low-level OS and billing system work, secure payment integrations, and scientific telemetry software—evidence of an engineer comfortable across research and commercial domains. Frequently modernizing older systems, Nikki brings a practical blend of legacy-system savvy and up-to-date practices to complex, performance-critical projects.
