Top SchoolNikolai Shulyiakovskii is a technical adviser and seasoned engineering leader with over a decade of hands-on experience building cloud-native systems, optimizing production processes, and guiding large technical teams across e-commerce, banking, and crypto domains. He has led audits and transformation programs for major CIS banks and the Russian division of AliExpress, combining Golang development, cloud engineering, and Kanban-based process improvement to raise team maturity and delivery transparency. As a former Deputy CTO and VP of Software Engineering, he has managed 100+ person teams, consolidated multi-vendor projects, and introduced architecture-as-code and SRE practices to reduce operational friction. Nikolai’s pragmatic approach blends software delivery with organizational design using team topology concepts, enabling continuous value flow and measurable reduction in blockers.
