Senior🎓
Top SchoolNikolaj Leischner is a language-agnostic staff software engineer with 13 years of experience building and operating cloud-native services and media platforms from Cologne, Germany. He blends hands-on engineering across TypeScript, Python, Kotlin, Scala and Java with systems work on GCP, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes and CI/CD, often rescuing legacy codebases and fixing thorny production bugs. As an early-career C++ systems developer turned backend and full-stack engineer, he pairs low-level performance awareness with modern service architecture and front-end experience. He also invests in growing teams and mentoring engineers, balancing technical leadership with sustainable, healthy practices. Though currently not looking for opportunities, he’s known for enjoying cleanup projects and teaching others how to ship cleaner, more maintainable software.
