Top SchoolNikolaus Roman is a Staff Frontend Software Engineer with eight years of experience building developer-facing UI platforms and production React ecosystems, currently contributing to the PayPal JS SDK. He has led frontend teams at JPMorgan Chase to create a React component marketplace used by thousands, authored tooling and starter projects that cut development time and hosting costs, and championed accessibility and standardized documentation with custom Storybook integrations. His background in mechanical engineering and industrial automation informs a pragmatic, systems-oriented approach to UI engineering—he’s automated workflows and even built hardware-adjacent tooling early in his career. Comfortable spanning product, design, and engineering, Nikolaus combines hands-on coding with leadership that scales developer productivity across large organizations.
